I Moved To London!

(A couple of photos I took in London)

So, if you guys didn't know, I moved to London on Monday! Well, technically I live in Hertfordshire, but we're still on the tube map! It's going to be so much easier for me for work and my blog now that I'm up here and I am really looking forward to the next year or so as there are so many super amazing things happening! In the next month or so I am interviewing a band and also I am going to a ton of festivals next year, and a couple of really cool holidays! Watch this space!

September Playlist

The low down on my favourite songs from September! x
  1. Best Of Enemies // Wasting Away: Some of you may not have heard of this band, but they are seriously awesome! Lovely guys with a great, fresh sound. This song is from their new EP which features 4 tracks and is just 99p which you can purchase here. Wasting Away is my favourite track from the record and reminds me of summer so much! Definitely a festival hit if you ask me. Check back here very soon for an exclusive interview with the band!
  2. Jessie J, Ariana Grande, & Nicki Minaj // Bang, Bang: Not usually the kind of music I would listen to, but this song is just so damn catchy! Great, retro kind of sound and this gets me up and dancing every time I hear it!
  3. Hozier // Take Me To Church: I'm a big Hozier supporter and I am so glad that this track has been getting a lot of recognition on the radio lately. Such a calm song, yet has this anticipating kind of build up to the chorus which I love!
  4. Usher ft. Nicki Minaj // She Came To Give It To You: Another Nicki Minaj track, odd seeing as I'm not a huge fan. I have a secret RnB fangirl inside of me that I don't really talk about much, but I blame the fact that my Mum used to playing Nelly & Kelly... Anyway, I first heard this song at the VMA's and I've been obsessed ever since!
  5. Imagine Dragons // It's Time: Such an awesome song, I was watching the Reading festival highlights recently and this song just sounded amazing! I love Imagine Dragons and I'm so happy they are getting huge! About time!
  6. Taylor Swift // Shake It Off: I've always been a fan of Taylor. I'm not really sure why I feel so compelled to like her, but I do. I think she's such a talented singer, guitar player, song writer, everything! Shake It Off is a super catchy song and another one that gets me up and dancing.
  7. Ariana Grande ft. Zedd // Break Free: Again, I'm not really an Ariana Grande fan, but I am obsessed with this song. Without a doubt, she has one of the strongest vocals around, but there's something about her that I'm not sure about. That being said, this song is incredible and literally puts such a smile on my face. I feel like a lot of people don't really listen to the lyrics properly and just treat this as your average dance track, but the lyrics are so strong and I can really relate to them. Thumbs up from me.
  8. Lower Than Atlantis // English Kids In America: Now, this is more up my street! Lower Than Atlantis are a great band and I love this song and video so much! A must listen for anyone who's never heard their stuff before!
  9. Foo Fighters // The Pretender: Foo Fighters have bounced back into the spotlight recently and I couldn't be happier. One of my favourite bands ever and definitely so iconic, even my young siblings know about them. This is one of their best songs in my opinion, so I thought I'd bring it back! You're welcome.

MFW - What I'd Wear

Milan Fashion Week is definitely something I want to experience one day. Most of my favourite shows happen in Milan, so why wouldn't I want to go? Here is what I would wear if I were there this season! x

Starlight

I went out for a little meeting with my best friend Ellie the other night, so I thought I would post an OOTD seeing as I actually remembered to take pics! We had our favourite at Nando's (hot butterfly chicken - yum!) and then chatted for about 3 hours about absolutely nothing! I am going to miss her so much when I move. Not long now, just over a week!

Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass

I know that I have a monthly playlist series on the blog, but I just couldn't hold back on writing a post about this song any longer! All About That Bass is a smash hit and I think the positive message Meghan Trainor is putting across through her music is great! As a curvy girl, it's so nice to see a beautiful young woman celebrating her size, in a classy way (a.k.a, not Nicki Minaj 'Anaconda'). If you haven't yet heard this song, listen below and let me know what your thoughts are! x

The New Beauty Essentials

It's not very often I find a replacement foundation or mascara for my all time favourites. However, I recently picked up these items and I am obsessed!

The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is awesome for redness, which is something I suffer with a lot. I applied just a thin layer of this (1 pump) all over my face and I looked totally different! My cheeks were the same colour as the rest of my face fr once, meaning I didn't look like I fell in to a bucket of blusher, which was nice.

I also picked up the Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara for smoky eyes. This mascara brush is not something that I would like. I usually prefer plastic brushes over bristle brushes, but this one is awesome. The formula is also great and I like the way it makes my lashes look super long and natural, but also dramatic at the am time.

When You Were Young

Casual OOTD today! I really love this new shirt from Topshop. The lace panels make it perfect for summer, but it's also really lightweight so will be good for layering in the transition between warm and cold weather. All in all, a good piece!

Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil

AKA the best new lip product on the market. I saw these used on a shoot in Glamour Magazine and couldn't believe my eyes when it said they cost just £4.99 each! I popped in to Boots the other day and *luckily* they had a 3 for 2 offer, so I picked up 3... I know, I have problems. I really don't need 3 of the same lip pencil.

This product is absolutely amazing! Although they are quite small, they are well worth the money. I picked this up in three shades - Minimalist, Red Essential, and Berry Much. At the moment, my favourite is Berry Much. I ave been searching for the perfect purple and this meets my exact requirements.

These pencils come in so many different shades and are so easy to apply. They have a thick nib and glide on perfectly. They are also really great to layer so you can have a light layer, and then just add more to go from day to night. Unfortunately, I can't find a link online but these are available in Boots and Superdrug stores nationwide.

  2. Berry Much

NYFW - What I'd Wear

A Little bit of outfit inspiration for NYFW. I have loved so many of the shows so far and will be posting a little something about my favourite looks and shows for you later in the week! In the meantime, please enjoy these outfits I have put together on my Polyvore inspired by my style and the street style at NYFW! My favourite is the black lace skirt, band tee, and peach leather jacket combo, what's yours? x
